Hey! My name is Erica Li and I’m a sophomore at Hunter College majoring in Computer Science with minors in Statistics, Business, and Asian American Studies.
I am interested in learning more about how to apply human-computer interaction (HCI) theories to UI/UX design, product management, and how to create user-friendly and accessible technology. I have experience working with HTML, CSS, Python, and C++, and I am always eager to learn new technologies and tools.
This portfolio captures my learning journey. It showcases my growing skills in design, development, and problem-solving through school, personal projects, and hands-on exploration. You'll find examples of my work from internships, personal projects, and hackathons. I'm excited to document my progress and share my learning experiences as I experiment with new tools and tackle new challenges.
When I’m not clicking away on my computer, you can expect to find me at my climbing gym scaling some V2s 🧗♀️ or at home shredding my guitar 🎸

**batsuplokgai.com:** **bat-sup-lok-gai is the romanization of 86th street in cantonese. I grew up by 86th Street in Bensonhurst, a growing Asian community in South Brooklyn. I started this project to shine a light on the Asian-owned businesses in Bensonhurst that are often overlooked on platforms like Google or Yelp. I want to give people a fresh perspective on these businesses, highlight the quality of their service, and humanize the business owners by sharing their stories.
Tools being used/learned: Figma, React.JS
Career development tool: **I started this project with my professor, Cynthia King Vance, to help college students navigate the overwhelming process of career development by breaking it into small, actionable steps. The tool aims to address common challenges like lack of confidence, unclear guidance, and difficulty accessing resources. By integrating elements of gamification, AI-powered assistance, and curated resources, I hope to make career planning more engaging, approachable, and effective for students.
Tools being used/learned: Figma, Swift, OpenAI API
